Sales figures for all Xbox consoles in Japan revealed

Japan It’s historically been tough territory for Xbox. Nintendo and PlayStation, Japanese brands, dominate electronic entertainment sales in the Asian archipelago with an iron fist. However, Microsoft is making efforts to reverse that situation. Now, in that sense, they have been Sales figures for all Xbox consoles in Japan revealed. This has been made known by the Famitsu portal (via MauroNL) as part of a special report prepared to celebrate the twentieth anniversary of the American brand on Japanese soil. As you probably already know, one of the Xbox generations was clearly the favorite of the Japanese public.

These are, in order, best-selling Xbox consoles in Japan:

  1. Xbox 360 – 1,616,218 units
  2. Xbox – 472,992 units
  3. Xbox Series X|S – 142,042 units
  4. Xbox One – 114,831 units

There are a couple of interesting facts that are worth rescuing after knowing this information. The first of them is that Xbox 360 nearly quadruples the second Xbox best-selling in Japan, the original and adds twice as many units as the rest of the Xbox generations together. The second is that Series X|S has already managed to surpass One and it is in good dynamics to try to reach, over time, the numbers achieved by the original Xbox. At the moment 360 seems to be too far away for the progression that Microsoft’s next-gen machines are following.
